Social Constructivism in Education

I believe every human being has his/her own ability. It could be in the area of commerce, arts, or science. That means eveyone can be a teacher in their field. At the same time, everyone can be a student out of their area. That's why people need to learn from each other . By respecting other's ability as well as mine, human can acquire truthful learning. I think that's the most valuable points of social constructivism in education.

  1. I absolutely aree - I am definitely a student when it comes to using technology, but the great thing about that is that I can impart the knowledge that I have gained from this unit to others. My dad has wanted to publish his poems online for a long time, so now, as the most tech-savvy member of my family, I think I know enough to teach him how to do that!

In the classroom context, the social constructivist principle allows all students to actively contribute to an activity. As you said, it is important to recognise and utilise each student's strengths and abilities in a collaborative manner in order to achieve heightened understanding.
